Bengaluru to host Supercomputing India 2025 from December 9-13

Bengaluru: Over 5,000 attendees, 200 speakers and delegates from over 15 countries will participate in Supercomputing India 2025 (SCI 2025), which will be held from December 9–13, 2025, at the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Bengaluru. The theme of the event is Powering the Future: HPC (High-Performance Computing), AI and Quantum.

For the first time in India, Bengaluru will host Supercomputing India 2025, organised by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Bengaluru, under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY).

The SCI2025 is being organised as part of the expanding horizon activity of the Centre for HPC Upskilling and Knowledge-sharing (C-HUK) under NSM-HRD, funded by MeitY and DST (Department of Science and Technology).

In the curtain raiser programme held on Tuesday, S Krishnan, Secretary to the Government, MeitY, said, the Supercomputing India conference offers the opportunity of convergence. "It offers us an opportunity to showcase what has been done in India so that we now seem like a credible partner on the international scene," he said.

Magesh E, Director General, C-DAC, said, "We want to position India globally in HPC, AI and Quantum. This global event serves as a launch pad for breakthrough technologies and enhances the geopolitical positioning of host nations in frontier technologies."

Talking about India's National Supercomputing Mission (NSM), S Krishnan pointed out that 37 supercomputers have been deployed with 40 Petaflops total capacity. Over 20,000 people are trained in high-performance computing.

The event will feature sessions in HPC, AI, and quantum, the Chip Design Conclave, NSM Summit and Women in Technology, among others.

Industry professionals from the automotive, aerospace, semiconductor, healthcare, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and robotics sectors, together with international delegates from the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, and the US, are expected to attend.
