The top-end N1 Pro features a 6.67-inch HD+ (720 x 1612p) display with a punch-hole design, pixel density of 269 pixels per inch (PPI), 120Hz refresh rate and IP54 water-and-dust resistant rating.

It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, UNISOC T606 octa-core processor, Android 14 OS, 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB (expandable up to 256GB), 50MP AI camera with LED flash on the back, an 8MP front camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charger inside the retail box. It comes in-- stealth black and titanium gold-- for Rs 6,799.

The standard Lava N1 features a 6.75-inch HD+ (720 x 1612p) display with 90Hz refresh rate, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP54 water-and-dust resistant rating.

Alcatel earlier this week launched new V3 series phones. It comes in two variants-- V3 Pro. V3 Class and V3 Ultra.

The new V3 Pro sports a 6.7-inch HD+ (720 x 1600p) screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 2.5D glass (NXTPAPER: +AG), and up to 570 nits peak brightness.

It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, triple slots (two for nano SIMs and one microSD card) and a type-c port.

It also features 6nm class MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, Android 15 OS, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, 256GB storage (expandable up to 2TB), dual-camera module-- main 50MP (with f/1.8p) + 5MP ultra-wide camera with LED flash on the back, an 8MP front camera and a 5,200mAh battery with 18W charging speed.

It comes in matcha green and metallic grey for Rs 17,999.

The new V3 Ultra sports a 6.8-inch full HD+ (2460 x 1080 ) screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 2.5D glass (NXTPAPER: +AG), and up to 650 nits peak brightness.

It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, triple slots (two for nano SIMs and one microSD card) and a type-c port.

It also features 6nm class MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, Android 15 OS, 6GB/8GB LPDDR4x RAM, 128GB storage (expandable up to 2TB), triple-camera module-- main 108MP (with f/1.75p) + 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide camera + 2MP (f/2.4 ) macro camera with LED flash on the back, a 32MP (f/2.0) front camera and a 5,010mAh battery with 33W charging speed.

It comes in three colours-- champagne gold, hyper blue and ocean grey. It is available in two variants-- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage-- for Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999, respectively.

It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, triple slots (two for nano SIMs and one microSD card), a type-c port and an IP54 water-and-dust resistant rating.

It also features 6nm class MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, Android 15 OS, 4GB/6GB LPDDR4x RAM, 128GB storage (expandable up to 2TB), dual-camera module-- main 50MP (with f/1.8p) + 0.8MP macro camera with LED flash on the back, an 8MP (f/2.0) front camera and a 5,200mAh battery with 18W charging speed.

It comes in cosmic grey and halo white. It will be available in two configurations-- 4GB RAM + 128GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage-- for Rs 12,499 and Rs 14,999, respectively.

Samsung registers record Rs 10,000 crore worth smart TV sales in India

Samsung unveiled its new 2025 TV lineup of Vision AI-powered televisions in India earlier this month, introducing more than 40 models across Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, OLED, QLED, and The Frame. They are priced between Rs 49,490 to INR 1,10,000.

Now, the company has revealed that Samsung registered a record Rs 10,000 crore in TV sales in the calendar year 2024 in India.

“2024 was a landmark year for Samsung India. In value terms, we achieved a turnover of INR 10000 crore. We now aspire to grow in double-digit this year backed by our new AI TV lineup that breathes new life into every frame, setting a new benchmark for cinematic excellence at home. With this new era of AI-powered screens, we are confident of accelerating next-generation TV adoption and strengthening our leadership in India’s premium television segment,” said Viplesh Dang, Senior Director, of Visual Display Business, and Samsung India.

Reliance Jio adds 1.2 lakh new subscribers in Karnataka: TRAI

Reliance Jio continues to be the top telecom operator in Karnataka.

In April 2025, it welcomed 1.2 lakh new mobile subscribers in April 2025—the highest among all telecom operators in the state, according to the latest data from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

Jio is said to be the only telecom operator with positive active subscriber additions nationwide in April 2025, clocking over 55 lakhs active user additions—marking the second consecutive month with more than 50 lakhs VLR (Visitor Location Register) adds.

Nationally, Jio added 26.44 lakh total subscribers during the month, increasing its total user base to over 47.24 crore and leading the mobile segment with a 40.76 per cent market share.

Airtel followed with 33.65 per cent (approx. 39 crore users), while Vodafone Idea had 17.66 per cent (20.47 crore users). BSNL and MTNL together held a 7.84 per cent share.
