Gadgets Weekly: ViewSonic M1X, M1 Max TV projectors and more

Technology companies ViewSonic, Asus, Sony and others launched smartphones, smart TVs, computers, TV projectors, accessories and more this week (June 23-29, 2025).

DH's Gadgets Weekly edition lists the latest personal technology products to keep you abreast of everything happening in consumer electronics.

. The new smart projectors -- M1X and M1 Max-- come with built-in Harman Kardon speakers to deliver immersive audio.

They also boast of Cinema SuperColor+ technology, which promises to offer vivid, lifelike visuals.

Weighing under 1kg, these projectors are ultra-portable and can be carried around easily at home.

Both models offer cable-free streaming with an integrated battery, USB-C power bank compatibility, wireless screen mirroring, and Bluetooth audio output.

Also, they support seamless pairing with Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

Advanced visual features include Time-of-Flight (ToF) autofocus, automatic horizontal and vertical keystone correction, and 4-corner adjustment.

They can offer up to 100-inch projections with sharp, perfectly aligned images—even from angled or tight spaces.

Thanks flexible smart stand, it can support 360-degree projection.

M1 Max runs Google TV and supports all OTT apps, including Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+. It delivers immersive visuals in full HD 1080p and leverages ToF autofocus to adjust image sharpness in less time.

M1X supports external devices like Chromecast, Fire Stick, Roku, and Apple TV, all powered directly via a built-in USB-A port without the need for extra adapters. Additionally, it features USB-C display input for easy pairing with smartphones, tablets, or gaming consoles such as the Nintendo Switch.

The M1Max series is priced at Rs 135000 and the M1X costs Rs 90,000.

. The new Sony TV boasts an advanced AI Processor XR, which uses artificial intelligence and analyses signals and data using machine learning, to deliver an immersive viewing experience.

With XR Backlight Master Drive technology, the TV uses advanced technology that delivers brighter highlights, deeper blacks, which makes the visuals appear more realistic, natural, and immersive with a wider dynamic range.

It is also equipped with Studio Calibrated Mode that reproduces the image quality intended by film content creators in a home setting. In addition to the existing Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode and Sony Pictures Core Calibrated Mode, Prime Video Calibrated Mode is a new mode designed to provide customers with even more ways to experience premium entertainment through the lens of the creator.

With the AI Wash & Dry feature, the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo senses laundry weight, fabric type, and soil levels, and it can automatically adjust water, detergent, wash time, and drying conditions for each load. This ensures optimal cleaning performance and a personalised laundry experience without the guesswork.

Further, the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo features advanced heat pump drying technology that gently and efficiently dries clothes at lower temperatures by recycling warm air. The heat pump system optimises heat transfer and reduces drying time by up to 60 per cent and energy consumption by up to 75 per cent.

. Dyson, earlier this week, released the 2025 edition of the Global Wet Cleaning Study. It revealed interesting insights related to India.

The report says 49 per cent of people in India don’t change the water after cleaning each room.

Nearly one in three Indian households spends over two hours on routine floor cleaning, far exceeding the global average.

It also says that the use of mops and cloths for wet cleaning is highest among Indians in APAC.

It also revealed that the top frustrations with existing methods include inefficient cleaning, slippery floors, edge-cleaning struggles, and time-consuming.

Despite a strong cleaning culture, India ranks lowest in the APAC region in terms of awareness around modern wet cleaning machines. While 62 per cent of Indians believe that vacuum cleaners with wet functionality are the best solution for floor cleaning, adoption remains low.

“Indians are among the world’s most dedicated floor cleaners—almost 1 in 2 clean their hard floors daily, more than double the global average. But frequency doesn’t guarantee hygiene. Traditional cleaning methods and tools could be spreading dirt and bacteria. Poor cleaning routines don’t just cost time but may also impact health. Using dirty water repeatedly is unhygienic; it promotes the spread of bacteria rather than removing them,” said Tim Hare, Dyson Engineer.
