Nothing's CMF teases Pokemon characters, hints at new products' launch soon

London-based Nothing Inc. and its subsidiary CMF have teased intriguing images of Pokemon characters on their social media platforms.

It is believed that the Pokemon character names-- Bulbasaur, Gligar, Girafarig, and Hoothoot-- might be the codenames for CMF's upcoming new products.

It is not uncommon for tech companies to name their prototype products with creative names. For instance, Google names their Android versions after deserts. The Android 15 is called Vanilla Ice Cream and upcoming Android 16 is called Baklava, a popular layered pastry dessert.

Nothing Inc is probably code naming their products with similar fancy theme, in this case Pokemon charactors.

Recent reports have indicated CMF will soon be launching Phone 2. It is expected to come with new design, 6.3-inch display and a MediaTek processor. It is rumoured be codenamed as Bulbasaur, and is expected to launch in India too.

Gligar,FlyScorpion Pokémon animal is touted to be the CMF Neckband Pro 2. Whereas Girafarig, a Long Neck Giraffe-like Pokémon is said to be codename for CMF Watch Pro 3.

And Hoothoot, the Owl Pokémon, may be internally known as CMF Buds Pro 3.

Nothing's CMF is known for creative marketing on social media platforms. It is just the start, the company will reveal more details of the new products in the coming weeks to keep the buzz about the new devices among the customers and fans up to the launch day. We believe the new devices are likely to be launched by the end of April or early May.
