OpenAI announces new ChatGPT Pro plan with advanced gen AI capabilities

Microsoft-backed generative Artificial Intelligence (gen AI) service provider OpenAI has launched a new ChatGPT Pro tier plan worldwide.

The ChatGPT Pro is best suited for software engineers to write complex codes, and also for scientists, and other professionals who require research-grade intelligence daily to improve their productivity.

The new plan offers unlimited access to OpenAI's latest and smartest model, OpenAI o1, as well as to o1-mini, GPT-4o, and Advanced Voice.

It also includes the o1 pro mode, an advanced version o1 AI model that is capable of understanding complex queries and delivering better and more reliable answers.

The ChatGPT Pro users will get the option to turn on o1 pro mode in the model picker. They can ask any hard questions directly.

The company says that the ChatGPT will take a longer time to generate results and, it will show a progress bar. If you have less time and want to switch to other work, the app will send a notification once the answer is generated.

The company has plans to add more powerful, compute-intensive productivity features to the ChatGPT Pro plan. It is available to all globally for $200 (approx. Rs 16,937) a month.
