Xiaomi Pad 7 to hit stores in India next month

Xiaomi Pad 7 is expected to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 octa-core chipset.

Xiaomi is reportedly planning to launch the company's new Android tablet early next month.

Xiaomi's official e-commerce partner, Amazon, accidentally posted a Xiaomi Pad 7 teaser with a launch date of January 10. Once word got out on social media platforms, the banner was taken down.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 made its global debut in October in China and will soon be available in India.

It sports an 11.2-inch full HD+ (3200 x 2136) display with a variable refresh rate (30Hz-144Hz), supports HDR 10, Dolby Vision, hardware-level blue light reduction, TÜV Rheinland hardware-level low blue light certification.

It will also come with a 4nm class Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 octa-core CPU with Adreno 732 GPU, Android 15-based HyperOS 2, 8GB / 12GB LPDDR5X with 128GB UFS 3.1, 256GB / 512GB UFS 4.0 storage and 8,650mAh battery with 45W charger.Xiaomi Pad 7

It is said to feature a 13MP main camera (with 1/3.06-inch sensor, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF: Phase Detect Auto Focus) with LED flash.

On the front, it will sport an 8MP (with OV08D sensor, 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.28) for selfies and video calling.

Depending on the RAM+Storage configurations, it is expected to be priced between Rs 22,000 and Rs 30,000).

Earlier this month, Xiaomi launched feature-rich Redmi Note 14 series mid-range phones and a budget Redmi 4A 5G (review) in India.
