Record-high GST collection due to reforms at system level: Finance Secy

Record-high GST collection in the month of December is because the Indian economy is on the path of recovery and the government is taking targeted action against those who have discrepancies in the record, said Union Finance Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey.

“Record-high GST collection of over Rs 1.15 lakh crore in December is because our economy is on the path of recovery. We have brought many changes at the system level for better compliance. We are taking targeted action against those who have discrepancies in their record,” said Finance Secretary Pandey.
