<p>Villagers of Kaluru have warned of observing black day on August 15 if the road from K Nidugade to Mandalpatti is not repaired at the earliest. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Addressing reporters here on Friday, village leader A T Madappa said that the road which connects the villages has not been repaired for the last 15 years. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Also, the road from Devastur bridge to Kareramane is ridden with potholes, causing inconvenience to the motorists. Students have been facing inconvenience. Accidents have become a common scene on the road, he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Madappa further pointed out that owing to the poor condition of the road, tourists have been hesitating to come to Mandalpatti, which is a tourist spot.</p>.<p class="bodytext">There was KSRTC bus facility for Mandalpatti from Madikeri. But, a few buses have stopped their service due to the poor condition of the road, he added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Another villager C M Timmaiah said that the gram panchayat concerned and the district administration has turned a blind eye to the problem even after the submitting of a series of memorandums. </p>
