National integration camp from Jan 29

The Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports Department, state NSS Cell, Bengaluru and Dr G Shankar Government Women’s College and PG Study Centre, Ajjarkadu, will jointly organise a national integration camp from January 29 to February 4.

More than 150 NSS volunteers and NSS programme officers from Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Goa and host-state Karnataka will congregate in Udupi for the event. The seven-day camp will be held at Shree Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), Pragathi Soudha, near Ambalpady Bypass, Udupi.

The camp will have the fostering of the values of national integration and harmony as it key focus.

The camp will be inaugurated by Udupi District In-charge Minister Jayamala. MLA Raghupathi Bhat will preside. Dr G Kalpana, Additional Chief Secretary to Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, In-charge VC of Mangalore University Prof Ishwara will be the chief guests.
