Dogs become besties as strangers in US find love on Hinge

While the man and woman were strangers when they met online, it immediately became evident that both loved their canine buddies.

Ali Renteria and her labrador Lincoln made for an adorable duo last year, but a lot changed for them since then.

It all began with a question to a stranger on Hinge.

Renteria was reportedly on Hinge, the popular dating app, when the profile of Ryan McCarthy caught her eye. While they were strangers, it immediately became evident that both loved their canine buddies.

Renteria reportedly commented on a photo of him and his pup -- Cruz -- a golden retriever, asking "Why do I feel like our dogs would be best friends?"

DH was unable to find this comment on Ryan's Instagram profile.

The two hit it off on the first date and the dogs got along splendidly as well. Love blossomed for the dog parents, after the early courtship, especially after their four-legged pals got along famously too.

The couple is also active on TikTok, and Renteria reportedly wrote "We said I love you two months into dating and have spent every moment together. Still can’t believe he’s a stranger I met on the internet. He’s my absolute best friend."

In Renteria's photos with McCarthy on Instagram too, she refers to him as her 'best friend'.

Lincoln and Cruz also grew inseparable in this time, enjoying each others' company as their many photos on Instagram suggest.

Six months on, their relationship seems to be going strong and with their cherished canines by their sides, Ali and McCarthy present a wholly adorable image.

2024 has undoubtedly been a memorable experience for the couple and their canines. Here's hoping 2025 will bring more sweet updates on this adorable couple.
