Serial killer Charles Sobhraj walks out of Nepal jail after 19 years

French serial killer Charles Sobhraj, also known as 'The Serpent', was convicted of multiple murders of young foreigners in the 1970s across Asia. He was released from a Nepali prison recently after the court ruled in favour of his age and good behaviour. Sobhraj almost spent 20 years in a Nepal jail.

Nepal's top court ruled that he should be deported within 15 days but his lawyer Gopal Shiwakoti Chintan later suggested this might be delayed because of health issues.
