Trump health nominee Kennedy secures enough US Senate votes for confirmation

Washington: President Donald Trump's nominee for US Health Secretary, Robert F Kennedy Junior, has secured enough votes from US senators to be confirmed as the nation's top health official.

Kennedy will lead the Department of Health and Human Services, which oversees several high-profile agencies including the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
