<p>Serie A giants Juventus, who are currently competing in the ongoing FIFA Club World Championship in the United States were hosted by the country's president Donald Trump at the White House.</p><p>Trump hosted Juventus team ahead of their lung opener Al Ain and topics discussed during the dinner ranged from the West Asia crisis to transgender athletes.</p><p>As per a report in <a href="https://time.com/7296045/trump-juventus-white-house-visit/">Time</a>, Trump asked players “Could a woman make your team, fellas?” </p><p>To this, Juventus players including American players Timothy Weah and Weston McKennie smiled awkwardly and evaded an answer.</p><p>The maverick US President then turned to the club’s general manager Damien Comolli, asking the same question. </p><p>“We have a very good women’s team.” The team won the latest Italian League Championship," Comilli replied.</p><p>Trump's questions assume significance considering the fact that he had issued a ban on transgender athletes in February. </p><p>Players too were surprised with the weird questions posed by Trump as Weih summed it up aptly.</p><p>“I was kind of like, I just want to play football … They just told us that we have to go, and I had no choice but to go. So I guess it was a cool experience, obviously being in the White House as a first time… But I’m not one for the politics, so it wasn’t that exciting,” he said.</p>
