Bengaluru: 20 IPS officers promoted, eight transferred

The Home Department promoted 20 IPS officers and transferred eight officers on Monday evening. The transfers will come into effect from January 1, 2019.

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Police Fire Services, Bengaluru, H S Revanna, has been promoted and posted until further orders as Inspector General of Police, Northern Range, Belagavi.

B R Ravikanthe Gowda, Superintendent of Police, Dakshina Kannada District, Mangaluru, has been promoted and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Police and Fire Services, Bengaluru. B M Laxmi Prasad, Superintendent of Police, Internal Security Division (CCT-Centre for Counter-Terrorism), Bengaluru, has been transferred as Superintendent of Police, Dakshina Kannada.

Raman Gupta, Joint Director of Enforcement, Enforcement Directorate, Bengaluru, has been promoted to the grade of Deputy Inspector General of Police. Abhishek Goyal, Joint Director of Enforcement, Kochi, has been promoted to the grade of Deputy Inspector General of Police.

Kaushlendra Kumar, Joint Deputy Director (SP level), Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, has been promoted to the grade of Deputy Inspector General of Police. R Dileep, Superintendent of Police, Intelligence (Security), Bengaluru, has been promoted and posted until further orders as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Headquarters, Bengaluru.

S N Siddaramappa, Superintendent of Police, Internal Security Division, Bengaluru, has been promoted and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Internal Security Division, Bengaluru.

Dr Chandragupta, Superintendent of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, Bengaluru, and Dr K Thiyagarajan, Superintendent of Police, Karnataka Lokayukta, Bengaluru, have been promoted to officiate in the Selection Grade carrying the pay scale of Level-13.

Similarly, four IPS officers of the 2015 batch who have been working as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASPs) are promoted to the senior-time scale as Superintendents of Police.

The officials are: Arunangshu Giri, ASP, Mysuru Rural subdivision, has been promoted and posted as SP, Anti Naxal Force, Karkala, Udupi district; Sonawane Rishikesh Bhagawan, ASP, Bantwal subdivision, Dakshina Kannada district, has been promoted and posted as SP, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Bengaluru; Nagesh D L, ASP, Sirsi subdivision, Uttara Kannada, has been promoted and posted as SP, Criminal Investigation Department, Bengaluru; Lokesh Bharamappa Jagalasar, ASP, Kalaburagi 'A' subdivision, has been promoted and posted as SP, ISD, Bengaluru.

Four IPS officers of the 2010 batch of Karnataka cadre are promoted to the Junior Administrative Grade carrying the pay scale Level 12 of the pay matrix.

The officers are Divya V Gopinath, SP, Tumakuru; C H Sudheer Kumar Reddy, SP, Belagavi; Vartika Katiyar, DCP, CAR, Bengaluru, and R Chetan, SP, Davangere.

Similarly, three IPS officers of the 2016 batch, who have completed phase-2 training at Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy have been posted as ASPs. The officials are Kshama Mishra (posted as ASP Mysuru), Yathish N (ASP, Sagar, subdivision, Shivamogga) and Saidulu Adavath (ASP, Bantwal sub-division, Dakshina Kannada).
