The Income Tax department on Wednesday began searches on 16 locations linked to Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot in national capital and Gurugram.
The raids are being conducted at Brisk Infrastructure and Developers Ltd & Corporate International Financial Services, income tax source said.
Sources said that the searches on his premises are being conducted as part of tax evasion probe against firms linked to Gahlot.
Gahlot is an MLA from Najafgarh Assembly Constituency. He was made transport minister in May last year. Apart from transport, he also holds law and revenue departments in the Aam Aadmi Party.
