As anticipated two newly elected legislators one independent and the other one from All India Forward Block have expressed their willingness to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

With this, the TRS strength in the Telangana Assembly will rise from 88 to 90. The increase is in consonance with party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao’s wish to win 100 seats in the just-concluded polls. However, the severe drubbing in Khammam district where the TRS has won only one seat has left the party short of their aim.
Korukanti Chandar who contested on behalf of the Forward block from Ramagundam and Lavudya Ramulu Naik an independent candidate from Wyra (ST Reserved Constituency) have met KCR’s son K Taraka Rama Rao on Wednesday at the party office and expressed their wish to work with the TRS. Ramulu Naik met KTR separately along with party MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and said that he is eager to work with KCR.
While Chandar was a rebel candidate who quit TRS and contested on a Forward Block ticket, Naik is a retired police inspector contested as an independent after Congress denied him a ticket. Even as the party headquarters hasn’t declared a date, they both are expected to join TRS in presence of KCR.
The news of independents joining the TRS has triggered a fear of exodus from other political parties including Congress. Many who see no future for them in the coming five years said have sent feelers to TRS expressing their wish to join the TRS.
