After weeks of teasing, Huawei's subsidiary Honor pulled the wraps off the new flagship Honor 20 series in London.

The new phones come in three variants-- Honor 20 Pro, Honor 20 and Honor 20 Lite.

The Honor 20 Pro, as the name suggests is the top-end model. It boasts punch-hole display form factor, wherein front-camera sits in the dedicated top left corner and the rest of the space is fully occupied by the functional screen, thus offering minimal obstruction for device owners to watch multimedia content. It comes with full HD+ resolution 3D curved display with 91.7-percent screen-to-body ratio.

On the back, it comes packed with quad-camera, one primary 48MP (with Sony IMX586 sensor), 16MP ultra-wide angle lens, 8MP telephoto sensor and a 2MP for macro shots. On the front, it houses 32MP snapper with 3D portrait lighting support.

Other stipulated features include Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, Android Pie-based Magic UI 2.0 and a 4,000mAh battery with SuperCharge capability. It costs €599 (approx. $669/Rs 46,586).

On the other hand, Honor 20 is a generic model. It comes with pretty much same design and internal hardware as the Pro version but varies in two aspects. It features a 2MP depth sensor instead of an 8MP telephoto lens and a smaller 3,700mAh cell. It costs €499 (around $557/Rs 38,808)

Whereas the Honor 20 Lite, it features 6.21 full HD+ screen, Kirin 710 octa-core chipset, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, triple-camera (24MP+8MP+2MP), 32MP front shooter and a 3,400mAh battery. It costs €299 (approx. $334/Rs 23,254).

The product launch comes just days after Google extended Android support for Huawei devices for 90 days. Though both the companies have assured fans that the all the existing devices and those in stocks (including Honor 20 series) will continue to run Android, there is no official word, whether these devices will get security patches and Android updates after the 3 month period (August 19).

Reports have emerged that Huawei has developed its own mobile OS, which can be loaded to old and existing Android-powered devices and consumers still be able to use them normally as the previous time. If all goes as planned, the company is expected to bring Huawei OS this fall, September 2019 at the earliest.

Initially, Honor 20 series are expected to be released in Europe and Asia. In India, it is slated to release on June 11 and be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart.
