Action plan to supply water to 20 villages

Taluk Panchayat President Jayanna directed the officials to supply water to the public from Shuddha Ganga drinking water units without waiting for its inauguration.

Speaking at the monthly review meeting on Wednesday, he said the priority should be given for the supply of water in rural areas.

MLA C T Ravi has earmarked Rs 56 lakh under Task Force Committee to supply water to 36 villages through tankers in Chikkamagaluru Assembly constituency. An action plan has been prepared to supply water to 20 villages in six gram panchayats.

He said the GPS should be installed to the tankers supplying water. The PDO’s of the respective gram panchayats should certify the supply of water.

He said that works under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya electrification project and Ganga Kalyana Yojane should be completed by May end.

Taluk Medical Officer Seema said that health cards have been issued to 498 people under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

The ticks found in the dead monkeys at Shiravase and Kaimara have tested negative for KFD virus. All precautionary measures have been taken to check KFD, she added.

She said four H1N1 cases have been reported in Chikkamagaluru taluk. Asha workers have been visiting households to destroy mosquito breeding sites.
