Samsung's new laptop comes in a slimmer and lighter form factor than its predecessor. It sports a 15.6-inch full HD display with anti-glare technology and

It runs Windows 11 OS and is powered by an Intel Core Ultra chipset, which promises high-speed performance. It offers 38 per cent plus improved graphics performance versus its predecessor (Galaxy Book4), while offering 12 TOPS (trillion operations per second) powerful NPU, to AI features smoothly. The device also offers a wide range of ports to support versatile connectivity needs.

The new laptop supports several generative Artificial Intelligence (gen AI) features, such as AI Photo Remaster, which can assist users in enhancing image quality using a powerful NPU.

The AI Select enables users to search for anything, anywhere, anytime. Other AI-driven tools include Copilot with Hot Key for instant assistance, Circle to Search on PC for quick search functionality, and Transcript Assist on PC for efficient generation of meeting and content transcripts.

Also, it supports value-added Galaxy Connected Experience features– such as Multi-control, Second Screen, Quick Share, and more.

It houses a 61.2Wh battery and delivers up to 19 hours of video playback. The Galaxy Book5 is available in India starting today in multiple configurations with Intel Core Ultra 5 and Intel Core Ultra 7 processors, with prices starting at Rs 77,990.

The new Moto Buds Loop is made of a reinforced memory alloy frame and an IP54 water-repellent design, making them resistant to sweat, splashes. It comes in an advanced open-ear design that delivers a lightweight, secure, and comfortable fit.

The earphones are tuned with EVO certification and Sound by Bose. They are powered by 12mm ironless drivers, which promise to deliver rich, detailed, and balanced sound that elevates every note, beat, and lyric.

It supports spatial sound technology to offer an immersive 3D-like listening experience with good clarity and depth. Conversation during phone calls will be crystal clear thanks to an advanced dual-mic system featuring voice pickup sensors.

The Moto Buds Loop can deliver up to eight hours of playback on a single charge and a total of 39 hours with the charging case. And, with fast charging, that provides three hours of playtime in just 10 minutes. It costs Rs 7,999.

The Moto Buds Bass is designed for comfort and durability. They are lightweight at just 51g, and feature an IP54 water-repellent design to resist sweat and splashes.

The new buds come equipped with SUPER BASS tuning, and Hi-Res LDAC Audio, 12.4mm composite dynamic drivers, which promise to deliver studio-quality sound with deeper lows and crystal-clear balance across mids and highs.

It supports up to 50dB True Active Noise Cancellation and an ultrawide 4kHz cancellation range. Users can switch between Noise Cancelling, Transparency, Adaptive, or Off modes, while Adaptive ANC intelligently adjusts to surroundings for the perfect level of isolation. Immersive Spatial Audio further enhances music and movies, while the Moto Buds app offers full personalisation of ANC, EQ, and touch controls. It costs Rs 1,999.

The new Nord Buds 3r houses 12.4mm titanium drivers and supports Sound Master EQ, and OnePlus 3D Audio for immersive sound, while AI noise cancellation with dual mics delivers clear conversation during a phone call.

It supports Bluetooth 5.4, 47ms low-latency game mode, dual-device pairing, and Google Fast Pair. It also supports AI Translation, Tap 2 Take, Aqua Touch controls, and Find My Earbuds.

With a full charge, it can last for 54 hours with the charging case. It comes with TÜV Rheinland certification and IP55 dust/water resistance.

It is available in Aura Blue and Ash Black-- for Rs 1,599 and is slated to hit stores on September 8 across OnePlus store, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Croma, Reliance, Vijay Sales, Bajaj Electronics, and other partner stores.

Google earlier this week rolled out two key updates to NotebookLM: 1) Video Overviews are now available in 80 languages globally, and 2) all Audio Overviews are more comprehensive and in-depth.

With the new update, Overviews in NotebookLM will offer better summaries of a notebook’s contents. It can help the user quickly grasp the key concepts from the sources, and the user can spend less time sifting through information and more time learning and creating.

Google also revealed that Non-Audio Overviews will mirror the rich, detailed experience similar to how it presents the English version. It will offer a more thorough discussion of the sources in all of the supported languages.

With support for more than 80 languages, users will be able to save a lot of time and not have to spend hours sifting through a dense academic presentation for key findings, or try to learn a new skill from a complex DIY tutorial. The latest version of Video Overviews provides a concise, easy-to-understand video in your preferred language.

Nothing appoints Himanshu Tandon as CMF's new VP of Business

Nothing Inc. Co-founder Carl Pei, earlier this wee,k announced the appointment of Himanshu Tandon as CMF's new VP of Business.

It is a 32-inch 4K UHD monitor and comes with colour calibration, integrated 2.1-channel audio, and is compatible with Mac and Windows PCs.

Lenovo Legion 7 Pro, 5 series launched

Lenovo earlier this week launched a new line of gaming laptops-- Legion Pro 7i, Legion Pro 5i, Legion 7i, and Legion 5i-- in India.

The top-end Legion Pro 7i is powered by up to Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processors paired with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 24GB graphics, making it one of the most powerful gaming laptops in its class. It promises AI-powered performance through the Lenovo LA3 + LA1 AI chips, which ensure workloads are dynamically optimised in real time, keeping frame rates high and latency low, even under the heaviest demands.

It features an advanced PureSight OLED gaming display with up to 240Hz refresh rates, TrueBlack 1000 certification, and ultra-fast response times that ensure fluid visuals in both fast-paced action and cinematic content. Thermals are equally advanced, with Legion ColdFront Vapor HyperChamber cooling systems delivering up to 250W power while maintaining lower fan noise and slimmer profiles across the line-up.

Vivo, earlier this week, kicked off a new edition of smartphone photography awards. It will feature six categories of participation: Nature & Landscape, Night & Light, Architecture, Motion, Portrait, and Street & Culture.

Interested readers can apply for the contest (here). Entries will close on November 30, after which the jury will shortlist the six finalists for the final evaluation across the six categories. The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 5,00,000, while the category winners will receive a Vivo X200 Pro smartphone.
