AAP promised more security in Varanasi

The Election Commission has directed the authorities to deploy more central forces to protect Aam Aadmi Party members from attacks in Varanasi. 

The Commission conveyed its decision on the directive to AAP leader Prashant Bhushan when he met Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath on Tuesday evening. The EC has also assured that it will consider deployment of more forces in case the situation arises.

Bhushan also demanded  video monitoring of polling booths. The AAP has also asked for deployment of central forces on the polling day in the Rohania and Sevapuri assembly segments of the constituency. The EC assured the party that everything possible would be done keeping in view the total central forces available that day.
