<p>In an alleged gang war, a 30-year-old man was shot at about six times by three motorcycle-borne assailants in outer Delhi’s Bawana on Sunday night. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Though the primary accused has been identified, no arrests have been made yet.<br /><br />The attack took place at about 8.30 pm on Sunday when the victim Ravinder was standing outside his car at A-Block in Sector-1 at Bawana. He was suddenly confronted by three motorcycle-borne men who began a heated argument with him.“Even as the argument was going on, one of these three men pulled out a gun and fired several rounds at him before escaping,” a police officer associated with the probe told Deccan Herald.<br /><br />Locals informed police and he was rushed to a nearby hospital. Seeing his condition deteriorate, he was referred to Lok Nayak Hospital in central Delhi. Having been hit on the thigh, arms and chest, his condition is said to be critical.<br /><br />Based on the number of wounds on Ravinder’s body, the officer estimated that he was hit six times. However, doctors would give the exact figure later, he said.The primary accused has been identified as 31-year-old Rajesh, an alleged criminal who was released from prison only a few days earlier. The three other attackers remain unidentified so far.<br /><br />“Probe so far point to the attack being a case of gang war. Both the criminals have been enemies for long,” said the cop. <br /><br />The victim and the suspect were lodged at the same ward while in jail recently. It was there that the two had a fight over supremacy in jail. During one such fight in jail, Ravinder had allegedly thrashed Rajesh which had left him fuming and desiring revenge.<br /><br />Police have filed a case of attempt to murder under the Arms Act against Rajesh and three other unidentified suspects and have launched a manhunt to nab them. </p>
