The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is now sending bulk messages and recorded voice calls to its supporters and volunteers terming Bharatiya Janata Party  leader and the new Union Minister Nitin Gadkari as ‘corrupt’.

In the messages and calls, the party has accused Gadkari of landing Arvind Kejriwal in jail for raising voice against him.

The party also lashed out on media for spreading ‘negative message’ and not showing the ‘injustice’.

“Gadkari ka ghotala ujagar kiya to jail bhej diya. Media is anyay ko na batakar negative msg faila raha hai. Ghar ghar jakar bataye ki Arvind ji Tihar me kyu band hain.

(He was jailed for exposing Gadkari’s corruption. Media is also spreading negative messages by not showing this injustice. Go door to door and tell people why Arvind is in Tihar),” the party said in a message before the release of its leader Arvind Kejriwal.

Party leader Sanjay Singh also sent a recorded voice message to supporters explaining the alleged corruption by Gadkari and his company.

“When Gadkari was the Public Works Department minister in Maharashtra government, he granted a tender of Mumbai-Pune expressway to a company which was later found investing Rs 164 crore in his firm,” Singh said in a recorded voice message on Tuesday.

“Gadkari has opened five fake companies in the name of his driver and made him a director of these companies. He also opened fake companies in the name of his astrologer, wife and children and maintained fake balance sheet to evade income tax..,” he added.

‘Grabbed land’

Singh also goes onto accuse Gadkari of grabbing the land of poor farmers in Maharashtra.

“In the Umred area of Nagpur in Vidarbha, the government had acquired land from farmers and some 100 acre of land was supposed to be returned. Gadkari had illegally gabbed all of this land),” he alleged in the text message in Hindi.

Singh asked party supporters to come out on streets as Kejriwal was jailed for exposing Gadkari.

“Aise bhrashtachari ko bhrashtachari keh diya to is apradh ke karan unko aaj is 44 degree tapmaan mein garmi ke mahine mien Tihar jail mein sikhacho ke piche rakha gaya hai. (He termed a corrupt man corrupt, and for this crime he was thrown behind the bars in this 44 degree temperature),” Singh said.
