Peoples Democratic Party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Saturday alleged that National Conference has always collaborated with the Centre in bartering J&K’s political and economic interests for power.
“While the voters of our state have little influence in determining who forms the government at the Centre, what is more important is who represents them in the Parliament to be able to deal with the very serious issues facing J&K”, Mufti said while addressing election rallies in Budgam.
“While the NC’s Modi-PDP nexus rhetoric is their substitution for a manifesto, enforced boycott is their ground strategy for manipulating polls,” he said.
Mufti, a former J&K Chief Minister, ridiculed NC leaders’ utterances on PDP-BJP nexus. “A diatribe doesn’t behove a party that discarded Saif-ud-din Soz (J&K Congress chief), for having voted against the then BJP government in 1999”, he said.
