Corporator and State Mahila Congress General Secretary Prathibha Kulai has filed a defamation complaint in the Second JMFC Court in Mangaluru against BJP leaders for allegedly misusing her name and photograph in the 'Chargesheet' book released by the BJP in Bengaluru recently.

In the complaint submitted on Friday, Kulai has named Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa, MP Shobha Karandlaje, BJP Publishing Cell's Narasimhamurthy and Dinesh Hegde and office-bearers of Rashtrothana Mudranalaya, Bengaluru, as the accused.

The book has used the photograph of Prathibha Kulai instead of BBMP member Manjula Narayanaswamy. In her complaint, she has appealed to act against the accused as per IPC Section 500. The hearing of the complaint has been posted to April 19.
