Assault on lineman: One held, released on bail

The Ponnampete police arrested Sai Shankara Educational Institution President Kolera Zaru Ganapathi on the charges of assaulting a lineman. The arrested has been remanded in judicial custody.

Lineman Mahadevaswamy was assaulted when he had been to the institute to disconnect power supply as the bill dues were pending. 

Condemning the assault, Cesc employees had staged a protest and demanded action against the guilty.

The court released Ganapathi on bail with a condition of cooperating with the police during the probe, and not to destroy the evidences.
