Boy chasing a pigeon, falls off ceiling, dies

A boy, who had gone chasing a pigeon inside a closed film theatre, died after he fell off the ceiling. The incident came to light after two days.

Pawan (12), son of Ramesh from Ballari camp, is the deceased.

The boy was irregular at his school attendance as he had been roaming about, catching birds. Two days back, Pawan gained entry into the Sringar movie theatre from its back door as the theatre is now closed. Chasing a pigeon, he climbed on to the ceiling inside the theatre in a bid to catch a pigeon. He fell off as the thermocol covering on the ceiling collapsed.

Pawan’s classmates helped the police in recognising the body. A case has been registered at Birur police station.
