Brahmakalashabhisheka of Polali temple today

The Brahmakalashabhisheka of Polali Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple will be held on Wednesday.

The authorities have made changes in the timings for the visit of devotees to the temple in view various rituals associated with the Brahmakalashabhisheka. As rituals will be held from 4 am to 8.10 am, the entry of devotees to the temple till 10 am is prohibited. The devotees can have the darshan of the deity from 10 am to 5.30 pm.

Rituals like Ganahoma, Dravyakalashabhisheka, Mahapuje, Pallapuje and others will be held. As Rangapuje will be held from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm, the entry of devotees will be once again restricted, said the temple administrative committee members.

Utsava Bali, Chandramandala Ratha, Rathotsava and Pallakki Utsava will be held. As many as 10 LED screens have been installed on the temple premises for the devotees to see the Brahmakalashotsava rituals.

On Tuesday, several rituals, including Adhivasa Homa, were performed. A large number of devotees visited the temple and took the ‘Annaprasada’. The annual fair of the temple will be held on March 14, which will go on for a month.

As a part of the cultural programmes, Subrahamanya Bhajana Mandali members sang Bhajans. A Veena recital programme by Srilatha Y G from Nada Taranga enthralled the audience. She was accompanied by Rupal on Tabla, Nikshith Puttur on Mridanga and Siddarth Prakash on the keyboard.
