Gautam Singhania to step down as Raymond chairman

Last Updated 10 January 2019, 10:56 IST

Raymond Group Chairman and Managing Director Gautam Singhania is set to step down as the chairman from all the group companies.

He has already moved out from the FMCG entities and Raymond Apparel as chairman, reports Economic Times. He may also quit JK Files, Ring Plus Aqua and even Raymond Ltd, says the report.

“At Raymond Ltd, I don’t know how long I will be the chairman. I have something in mind which I don’t want to talk about now. I am not the chairman of all other group companies which are significant,” the ET report quotes.

This comes in the midst of the continuing row of Gautam with his father and chairman emeritus of the Raymond Group Vijaypat Singhania over the 36-storey JK House in south Mumbai and Vijaypat's proposed autobiography titled The Incomplete Man.
