Collabera plans regional expansion

New Jersey-based provider of IT staffing and services, Collabera aims to reach more Tier-II and Tier-III cities in India. When it comes to resourcing, the company wants to position as a one-stop provider to its clients.

"We are now highly focusing on various business segments in the domestic market and the specific focus is to build regional reach in Tier-II and III cities across the country. We want to add more services to the bouquet of offerings around talent / resourcing – building on strategic offerings like Hire, Train and Deploy, Managed IT services, among others," Shibani Patel, Vice President of India Business said.

Collabera has over 16,000 employees globally, and in India it employs over 4,000 people. The company has over 250 clients. It services more than 50 customers- Enterprise and Regional, that are headquartered in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru contributes to more than 50% of the company's overall revenue within India and about 40% of its talent deployed across clients is based out of Bengaluru.

The key sectors contributing would be BFSI and IT. The company also has a Delivery Unit in Bengaluru, contributing to the clients’ requirements across the international business.

Talking about the key skills required for the newer set of job roles, Patel said, "The latest emerging technologies that are now covering the market are Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Data Science, Social Media and Mobile technologies. These would be dominating the job industry in the coming years."

Patel added that they foresee a growth of 14-16% per annum over 2018-2021 in the Indian IT staffing industry, adding that the size of technology staffing industry would double in five years.

The company grows at about 6% to 7% globally on an average and its India growth is 10% to 12% higher than its global counter parts. Collabera's revenues stand at $600 million globally. "We are expecting a CAGR growth of 10-12% in the Indian market in the next two years," Patel said.

GST implementation in the last one year has made progressive influence in the overall organised flexi-staffing business, Patel said.
