Bengaluru-based property developer Embassy Group has joined hands with global tech giant Amazon to launch affordable smart homes in Bengaluru.

The company, on Thursday, announced the launch of Embassy Edge, a part of Embassy Springs — the city’s biggest real estate project spread over 288 acres.

The company said that the smart homes will be Alexa-enabled and are pre-installed with an Amazon Echo device.

Echo devices are smart speakers powered by the Alexa Voice Service, which can turn living spaces into voice-enabled smart homes. Embassy Edge residents will be able to control smart home appliances, play music, and even order products from Amazon.in by speaking to Alexa.

The company said that it plans to increase the implementation of Echo in its other projects. "We will be replicating this concept in our other residential projects across micro markets. We are very happy to provide Amazon Echo experience to residents and better our offerings here at Embassy," Jitu Virwani, Chairman and Managing Director, Embassy said.

The newly launched project comprises of 1 BHK, 2 BHK, 2.5 BHK and 3 BHK apartments that range from 607 sq feet to 1,406 sq feet and priced between Rs 36 lakh and Rs 81 lakh.
