Rs 3000 FASTag Annual Pass commences from today: Price and eligibility conditions

The FASTag annual pass simplifies the transactions at toll booth, reduces waiting period and helps to cut-down travel expenses.

Along with the nation-wide celebration of India's 79th Independence day, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways launches The FASTag Annual Pass on August 15. This annual pass being a treat for the frequent commuters often crossing highway toll gates gets benefitted within a recharge of Rs.3000 per year offering them a total of 200 toll trips for a period of 12 months.

The FASTag annual pass simplifies the transactions at toll booth, reduces waiting time or delay and helps to cut-down travel expenses.

The annual pass can be activated through Rajmargyatra app or the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) website. This supports all online payment gateways on the website.

Price and Benefits

By recharging at a cost of Rs.3000, the activation longs for 12 months or 200 toll crossings, whichever comes first. According to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, the regular average of Rs.80 to Rs.100 per toll charge can be effectively reduced by FASTag to Rs. 15, which saves Rs.7000 annually.

FASTag Eligibility & Validity conditions

• Note that your FASTag has to be properly installed, linked to valid Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) and active in condition.

• It cannot be used with a different vehicle number, if so used it will be automatically cancelled.

• It is only appplicable for non-commercial or private vehicles like jeep, car, van.

• The pass is only valid on national highways and expressways not the state highways or toll plazas managed by state authorities.
