The bill was tabled by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha, shortly before it was adjourned for a recess till March 10.

The new Income Tax Bill, 2025 was tabled in the Lok Sabha by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Sitharaman, during her historic eighth Budget presentation, had promised that the bill would be tabled in House, and accordingly, it was done just before the adjournment till March 10.
