Two security guards bludgeoned to death

Two security guards were found bludgeoned to death inside their shed at an under-construction building in Hulimavu on Tuesday night.

The deceased have been identified as Vikram Kumar (25) and Sidulla Khan (26), both from Assam. The two worked for a builder on the outskirts of the city and were guarding an under-construction site in Doddakammanahalli.

According to police, the incident came to light on Wednesday morning when the workers came to the site and found the guards lying in a pool of blood.

The Hulimavu police investigated the spot after which the bodies were shifted to hospital for postmortem. The police said that another security guard, also from Assam, had joined duty on Tuesday along with the two, but has gone missing since. His phone is also switched off.

The police suspect the third guard, but said the murder did not look like one committed for gain. Valuables like mobile phones, silver chains and cash were intact. They suspect the three might have picked a quarrel leading to the incident.

They police have registered a case of murder.
