The four accused in the Chinnaswamy Stadium blasts case are willing to confess after their plea bargain petition was rejected by the NIA Special Court on Tuesday.

The accused — Gowhar Azeez Khomani, Mohammed Taariq Anjum, Kamaal Hasan and Mohammed Kafeel Akhtar — have been charged with conspiracy and providing local support to carry out the bomb blasts in various parts of the country, including the one in the Chinnaswamy Stadium before an IPL match on April 17, 2010. Nearly 15 people were injured in the blasts.

The accused had filed a plea bargain petition under Section 265 of the CrPC, seeking concession in punishment. However, the court dismissed their petition on technical grounds. Following this, the accused informed the court that they are ready to confess. The court has fixed the hearing for July 11.
