BBMP takes up challenge to clear 150 black spots

The BBMP is joining forces with The Ugly Indian to take up the #Clean150Challenge to clear 150 major and highly visible garbage spots and beautify them for sustained use.

As part of the initiative, The Ugly Indian group teamed up with BBMP officials, Yelahanka zone, and pourakarmikas to clean up a garbage spot opposite Elements Mall in Thanisandra Main Road on Tuesday.

"We'll clean up 150 garbage spots across the city. We'll make sure the garbage dumped in such spots is cleared in 48 hours," a BBMP official said.

During the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations earlier this month, the civic body joined hands with the Ugly Indians and other volunteers to organise a rangoli festival to clear up at least five black spots in each ward. It eventually covered 800 black spots.
