The BMTC has suspended six of its employees for taking bribes via Google Pay and PhonePe to grant leaves to their subordinates. Those suspended include first- and second-division assistants posted in depots.
An official from the BMTC's security and vigilance wing said investigations had revealed that the employees had received bribes through digital payment methods.
