A 25-year-old biker died on the spot after a speeding truck rammed into his vehicle while he was returning from work near Kamakshipalya on Tuesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Girish, a resident of Peenya. He was working as a medical representative.
According to the police, Girish was riding home through the Outer Ring Road near Nagarabhavi around 8 pm when the truck hit his bike from the rear. The driver of the truck then fled the scene.
Grish was tossed into the air and landed on the road, sustaining severe injuries. Passersby rushed him to hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
The Kamakshipalya traffic police have registered a hit-and-run case and are investigating.
