Last Updated 04 August 2018, 15:59 IST

Making preparations for the airport and outer ring road (ORR) metro projects, BMRCL has called a global tender for detailed design consultation on the power supply and distribution system for both the lines.

The successful bidder will also give detailed studies of the passenger load factor for the Silk Board-KR Puram metro line on ORR under Phase 2A (17 km) and the Nagawara-Kempegowda International Airport station (29.06 km) of Phase 2B.

Besides providing a detailed design of the 750 V third rail system and power supply architecture like substations, the company will also design supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), a system used for controlling the metro trains.

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) has set August 28 as the deadline for submission of the bids. The successful bidder will get 78 weeks to complete the task. After the submission of the designs, the company will have to support the BMRCL contractor constructing the lines and depots and incorporate changes in the design, when required.
