The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police filed a B-report in connection with an alleged kidnap case against the state government employees' association vice president Ramesh G Sangha and his associate Dileep Rathod.

Girish Naik, a panchayat development officer, had lodged a complaint in April 2018 against Sangha. Naik had alleged that on March 22, 2018, Sangha and Rathod kidnapped him from the parking lot of MS Building in their white Maruti Swift and drove around the city.

The complainant alleged that he was punched in his face and abdomen until he bled and the accused even snatched his official documents and mobile phone.

The CCB, in its B-report, stated that the mobile tower locations of Sangha and Rathod were not matching with the locations as alleged by Girish in his complaint while he was abducted and being driven around the city.

The police also said they were unable to find any circumstantial evidence against the duo in the case and hence they filed a B-report.
