<p>Despite the BBMP shutting down offices functioning illegally in eight buildings behind the BDA complex in Koramangala, five offices located in a single building resumed work on Thursday.</p>.<p>Residents are outraged over such brazen attempts by commercial agencies to encroach the buildings in the predominantly residential area.</p>.<p>Nitin Seshadri from the Koramangala 3rd Block residents’ welfare association said all the eight buildings function illegally.</p>.<p>“There’s a service apartment for namesake, but it looks like a hotel is also enlisted in some of the websites,” Seshadri said.</p>.<p>He suspected authorities are in cahoots over the functioning of these illegal agencies, adding that the residents would file a police complaint.</p>.<p>BBMP’s health officials rushed to the building on Friday and ordered the closure of the offices.</p>.<p>Bhagyalakshmi from the health office said three of the five organisations downed the shutters immediately, while two offices refused to shut and are moving the court against the BBMP.</p>.<p>“We’ll ensure no commercial activities take place in residential areas,” she assured.</p>
