German arts, science fair from Saturday

The German House for Research and Innovation (DWIH), New Delhi, will organise “DWIH Horizon: Art Meets Science” exhibition in the City from Nov 21 to 29.

 The event includes a higher education and research fair as well as a photo exhibition to capture the ‘essence of art and science under one roof.’ The higher education and research fair, to be held at Christ University on Nov 21 and 22 (from 9 am to 4 pm) will see participation from 11 consortium members of DWIH, including leading German universities, research funding organisations and educational institutions. These institutions will set up info-stands to disseminate information required by the Indian students, scientists or researchers to pursue their careers in Germany.

The photography exhibition titled “The Theatre of Real Life,” will also be held at Christ University from 9 am to 6 pm from Nov 21 to 29. It will showcase photographic works depicting everyday life in India. These photos were captured by Indian photographers during the Photography Master Classes conducted during the “E­xc­el­lence on Tour!” road shows in Gandhinagar and Kolkata. These photos have now been assembled into an exhibition by renowned German artistic photographer Wolfgang Zurborn.
