<p>Sentinel Hack, a state-level day-long hackathon, was organised at the KS Institute of Technology last week to give students a platform to showcase their coding facilities and solve the problems of the cyber world. </p>.<p>Curated by the college's computer science and engineering department, the hackathon was attended by 189 students in 54 teams from colleges across Karnataka. </p>.<p>Dr K N B Murthy, vice-chancellor, PES University, inaugurated the event while Y Ramachandra Naidu, president, Kammavari Sangha, presided it over. </p>.<p>Technocrats of BNMIT bagged the first prize with a cash award of Rs 25,000 while Cifrado of SJBIT came second and walked away with a cash prize of Rs 10,000. Fungus Boys from JIT walked away with the third prize and a cash reward of Rs 5,000.</p>
