Over 13 passengers escaped with minor injuries when the KSRTC bus they were travelling in collided with a cement mixer truck near Jakkur aerodrome in Yelahanka on Monday night.
The KSRTC bus driver, identified as Nanda Kumar (32), sustained minor injuries and was given first-aid at a private hospital and discharged.
According to the police, the bus coming from Anantapur and heading towards Kempe Gowda Bus Station rammed into the rear of the truck. As a result, around 13 passengers on the bus were injured. Due to the impact of the accident, the front portion of the bus was damaged, the police said.
Passers-by shifted the injured to private hospitals, where doctors administered first-aid and discharged them.
Based on a complaint by a passenger Katamma Reddy (23), the Yelahanka traffic police took up a case against Kumar and the truck driver.
