Man hacked to death by friends

A 30-year-old man was hacked to death in Anekal by his friends after a party on Sunday night.

Deceased Lokesh C is a native of Tamil Nadu living in Bommasandra. He was murdered and his body was lying on the road side. Passersby noticed the body in a pool of blood on Monday morning and alerted the police patrolling vehicle.

Police said Lokesh was working as a helper in a factory at Jigani industrial area. He had quit his job recently due to a health issue. Lokesh and his three friends came to the bar near Anekal to have a party and they left the bar in drunken stupor.

On their way home, the three accused picked up a quarrel with Lokesh. In a fit of rage they attacked Lokesh with lethal weapons and bludgeoned him to death. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to hospital for postmortem. Police found Lokesh’s Honda Dio scooter next to his body.

Police also obtained the CCTV footage and formed a special team to nab the accused. According to them the reason behind the murder was yet to be ascertained. They suspect a financial dispute may have led to the murder.
