Chairman of the Taxation and Finance Committee, P N Sadashiva on Thursday stated that there was no proposal for providing monetary compensation to the people parting with their land for the road widening project on Mysore Road and Padarayanapura.
“We have approved compensation to those land acquisitions made for building Kadrenahalli underpass which has been stalled for a long time,” he said.
Speaking with Deccan Herald, Sadashiva said there was no money with the BBMP to provide compensation.
Even the TDR division of the BBMP said that it was highly impossible to provide compensation. “There is no money in the Palike coffers to provide compensation in any part of the City,” said a BBMP official.
