Screening of Satyajit Ray's 'The APU Trilogy'

It's a heads up for film freaks as the Satyajit Ray Film Society Bengaluru in association with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Film Society is screening 'The APU Trilogy' on Sunday.

The trilogy is directed by Satyajit Ray and the music is composed by Ravi Shankar. The three-film series, including Pather Panchali, Aparajito and Apur Sansar, intersprsed by a talk show, will be screened at the Physics auditorium, IISc campus, near Gate D. The guests of honour for the event include renowned film critics N Manu Chakravarthy and N Vidyashankar.

The society has been working towards promoting the study of films and media as a form of art and social force; producing and exhibiting films to propagate the film culture; and organise, undertake, conduct, encourage and promote the study and research in the field of cinema.

Sunday's screening

Pather Panchali: 10 am

Aparajito: 2 pm

Talk show: 4 pm

Apur Sansar: 5.30 pm
