Zameer, Gopalaiah keep JD(S) flock together in Kerala

JD(S) MLA K Gopalaiah said the party corporators have been directed not to use their mobile phones as a precautionary measure to prevent the BJP from poaching them.

 “We know the BJP is trying to get in touch with the corporators. So, I have directed all the 14 corporators not to use their mobile phones,” he added.

He said the JD(S) leaders will soon hold a meeting with the Congress leaders and finalise the alliance. The JD(S) has decided to join hands with the Congress in the interest of Bengaluru, the Mahalakshmi Layout MLA added.

Meanwhile, JD(S) State president H D Kumaraswamy on Sunday urged the party  corporators, who are touring Kerala under watchfull eyes of Zameer Ahmed Khan, to return to the city to avoid the wrath of public.

Kumaraswamy, speaking to reporters in Chikkamagaluru, said that a meeting has been convened in Bengaluru on Tuesday to discuss the party’s future course of action with regard to the BBMP mayoral elections.
