Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy symbolically distributed a cheque for Rs 50,000 each to 10 flood victims who lost their household articles in the flood.
MLA M P Appacchu Ranjan urged the chief minister to constitute an authority to rebuild the district. Each affected family should be built a house at a cost of Rs 10 lakh. Documents should be handed over to victims who lost theirs in the flood, he appealed.
He appealed to the chief minister to impart free education to children of victims. Funds should be released to lay roads in the district, he added.
