U T Khader Abhimani Balaga members, submitted a complaint to the Mangaluru police commissioner, alleging the use of derogatory language against district in-charge Minister U T Khader, in 'Honey Hindustani Mangaluru Hindu' Facebook account.
A delegation led by Ashraf Monu Boliyar, met City Police Commissioner T R Suresh, and submitted a complaint on derogatory posts against Khader.
The delegation said "Using the minister's photo, the posts on Honey Hindustani Mangaluru Hindu, have used abusive words on Facebook. By furnishing false news on the minister, an attempt is being made to mislead people. The writings sow the seeds of hate." They urged the police to arrest the Facebook page admin.
Reacting to the complaint, the commissioner said that the complaint was being verified and action would be initiated after availing permission from court.
