Parvatharayana Kere Kaval officer and staff gave information on the necessary measures to be taken for the development of Amrith Mahal Kaval. “Amrith Mahal existed from the time of Vijayanagara empire and Mysore rulers. It has historical importance. Government will give priority to protect it,” the Minister said.
“To know the present condition of Kaval, I held meeting in Birur. Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will visit and hold developmental meeting in the coming days,” he added.
To a query, he said: “I am born to a farmer. I have the experience in farming. I know the value of cattle.”
Tarikere MLA D S Suresh, Deputy Commissioner R Narayanaswamy, Department of Animal Husbandry Commissioner Paramesh Pandey, and others were present.
